Alex Norton Payne

He is form UK, he arrived here on last week of September 2003, he worked as an English teacher but beside English he taught Mathematic, Geography and physical education. He also taught English drama to the school kids. Student says he was the one of the best teacher they ever had.  He stayed Nepal for 2.5 Months.

Tamara

Tamara came here as an English teacher, she is form Holland she taught English in local school. She is one of our volunteer who has helped to established School Library in Dolphin school at Godavari. She brought lots of Interesting books to the school kids form England. She also taught drama to the school kids

Maria E. Toth

Maria came here in Health and sanitation program. She worked in Godavari Village as an Acupuncturist. She had provided free Acupuncture treatment to the community people. Lots of people get benefited from her free treatment, lots of people still remember her. She stayed here for 2 .5 months.

Nicola Heath

Nicola worked in an Orphanage in“Math Tirtha” near Kathmandu city. She came here on April 2004. She is form UK .She worked here with other volunteer form different organization. They play significant role to enrolling 29 Orphan in Government school near by village. They have also sponsored Bag, school dress and stationary for orphan kids for a year.

Sophie worked in private school as an English teacher; she came here on Aug. 2004. She is form Australia. She enjoyed working in village and she love to stay in Nepali village. She likes Nepali food very much.

Tom Roelandt

Tom was one of our long terms volunteer; he is form Belgium. He worked 5 month in Nepali community as an environment volunteer. He taught environmental science in school and did the few environment projects. Like: “worm farming”. This was very interesting.
He has introduced worm farming in the village it was very new projects for the community and very different project as well. People were curious about the worm farming He grown worm in the school and distributed to the community.

Jane Courtney ( VEEP's Contact Person for Ireland)

Jane came to Nepal on July 2005 as an English teacher. She is form Ireland. She taught English at school and she also worked in orphanage. She loved to teach English at school. She has donated stationary and books to the orphanage near her placement. She loves to play with orphanage kids. Currently she is working as Lecturer in Ireland. She is very fun loving person. She had joined Teaching English Programme. She taught English in High school in Mane Dada village of Kathmandu. She is form Ireland. She is one of our volunteer who has helped school to buy a new computer. Everyone in School talks about her.

Jason Amit Raj – Vols – 2006 (Australia)

He arrived Nepal on last week of Nov 2006. He worked as an English teaching volunteer in rural school of Nepal. He was very hardworking and he the volunteer who have learned Nepali very quickly. He was very much interested in learning Nepali language and Nepali culture. He worked with us for six weeks. After his volunteering he went to travel of western part of Nepal.

Sarah Alt 2007 USA
She came here in 2007 Jan. as a English Teaching Volunteer in school of “Mane dada”. Village near Kathmandu. She is form Wisconsin state of the USA. She enjoyed her placement, she is fun loving person. During her placement she visited “Langtang Region” of Nepal. She was very much influenced form rural life of Nepal. Her parents were visited her in placement they stayed there for few days with her host family. Her parents also enjoyed rural living of Nepal.

DESIREE KHAN 2007 ( Jan) USA

She worked with us for 2 months. She arrived in 2007 jan This is her second visit of Nepal, during the first visit she trekked Mt. Everest region. On that time she was impressed form Nepali rural life style and she wanted to come Nepal again but wanted to learn Nepali culture and life style so she choose volunteering. She worked in Bistachhap village near Kathmandu valley as a English teacher. She played significant role to make school environment clean. She has organized school cleaning camping. Principal of the “Jwala Devi” School still remembers her lots. Her host family also missing her.


 

 

Philip …. Scotland 2007 (UK)

He arrived on last week of May. Philip is form Scotland. And he is a football player. He assigned with us for 6 weeks programme as a English Teacher. But after moving to the placement he becomes a Foot ball Coach as well as English teacher. He was very friendly and fun loving person. He always makes people laugh. He is currently traveling around Mt. Everest region. And probably going back home on Oct 2007.

 

Jim 2007- USA

His is arrived on end of July 2007. He assigned with us as English teaching volunteer but his background is Environment in USA so he is also interested in teaching Environment science. And working as an English and Environment teacher in rural school of Nepal. He will work with us for 6 (Six) weeks. After his placement he will be traveling around Nepal.


 

 

Jo 2007 – Wales (UK)

She is from Wales. She is a teacher in back home so she wants to continue work as volunteer teacher in Nepal. She is good in drawing things. She is teaching English and Drawing to the school kids. Kids are very much interested learning how to draw picture.

Jo has already raised Money for the school sponsorship programme. she is going to sponsor a kid from Far - west Nepal. VEEP Nepal is very thankful towards her effort.


 

 

Juliette 2007 -- Ireland

She is form Ireland and very fun loving person and very friendly as well. Jim and Juliette are having load of fun in their placement. She lives with host family just next to Jim house. She is neighbor of Jim. She is teaching English in school near by. She is doing very hard labor teaching English to school kids.
 


Sarah Parle ( Ireland)

She is the one of the student form Irish university. She is from Ireland. She is the currently studying in University of Cork, Ireland. She is doing bachelor in International Development and food policy. She wants to explore the world as much as she can. She is very interesting person. Wants to play guitar and she has got guitar. She often played Guitar in her Placement. And also have got great interest to learn different language and culture. She has not decided her future career however she wants to be development worker in her future.She chooses Nepal because of its mysterious beauty. After her placement she has gone to go to Chitwan, Lumbini (Buddha’s Birth Place), mountain flight, Pokhara (second largest city of Nepal)

She is the student of Cork University and studying International development. She has got great interest in working with different charity who works in different Development sector of a developing country. A question about why she has chooses Nepal? She said “Nepal has always had great appeal to me as the country has lots to offer. I also hoped to go somewhere that I could make a big difference” She had visited Nepal different places like: Chitwan Lumbini, Pokhara and did Mountain flight. She loves listen to music, reading, dancing, Meditation, traveling and Learning about new religions and culture. She is going to continue her studies and tell everyone about her experience in Nepal and make more plans for Next summer.

John Parle ( Ireland)

He is also from Ireland and studying in same university of Sarah (university of Cork). He is brother of Sarah Parle. “A unique character with influences form both the sub- continent and East Asia. Also the climate is probably easier for a westerner to adjust to than that of India for example.” Makes him to choose Nepal for his volunteer work and destination to visit in summer gap. He is very nice and fun loving guy with good sense of humor. After the volunteer work he went to Different places like: chitwan, Pokhara and Lumbini. And he love to learn history of different country and its culture. He will be continuing his study after his volunteer work in Nepal.

Paul ( Ireland)

He is currently studying in UCC, Ireland. Doing bachelor degree on International Development. In a question why he chooses Nepal for his destination he says “from Everest to the flag. Nepal has always interested me for as long as I can remember”  Apart from his placement with VEEP Nepal he hopes to visit chitwan, Pokhara and Lumbini. After finishing his study he wants to join the Irish Defense force as an officer. He is currently a corporal in the reserve of the Irish defense force and she love top climbing, parachuting, playing the Bass guitar and trombone.

After his placement he is going back to his University for his further study. He is very nice and gentle guy and good team player.
