About us

About Us

VEEP Nepal is a non-profitable, non-governmental social development organization, which is working in rural areas of Nepal. It aims to tap the youth, school kids and community people to make them involve in national development as well as to achieve its goals basically in the field of environment awareness raising, health and sanitation awareness and educational development and the activities concerned with people's real need.

VEEP Nepal is legally registered as non-governmental organization and affiliated with the social welfare council. We create a favorable environment and assistance for those who want to render their services to Nepal. VEEP Nepal also provides language lessons and cultural information to people who come to Nepal to study, to conduct research and above all to the voluntary work. We send trained volunteers to remote areas in order to raise awareness about environmental issues, primary health and sanitation awareness.
We have many rural locations in Nepal where we can place volunteers anywhere from one month to 5 months. Volunteers opportunities exists in: teaching conversational English in the local school; creating awareness about basic health issue; environmental issues, sanitation issues, building business skills and self-confidence. During this time volunteers will benefit from cross-cultural experiences through the home-stay program.

Our People
VEEP Nepal is a local Volunteer Organisation initiative based in Kathmandu and was launched in Jan 2002.
All founder members are from a wide range of academic fields ranging from Management, Business, Law, Sociology, Administration and Environmental Management & Sustainable Development.

Every member of the team has participated in extensive local volunteer programs. The team members have particular experience in working with environmental and sustainability programmes. This involves educating villagers on wastage management as well as building smokeless stoves, pit lanterns, incinerators. The team has taught environmental science in schools and undertaken street environmental awareness programs.
